The Western Amateur Radio Association, founded in 1978, is a Ham radio club based in Fullerton, California. The club supports and participates in many activities, including Field Day, transmitter hunting, microwave, satellite, and APRS, to name a few. WARA also supports the N6ME repeater located in the foothills of Fullerton CA. Membership to the club is available to all licensed amateur radio operators and their licensed family members.
In addition to being one of the oldest, best-known, and well-established clubs in Southern California, the Western Amateur Radio Association has performed admirably in the ARRL Field Day contest, ranking in the top three (and sometimes the first) in its category for many consecutive years.
Feel free to browse around the site to learn more about membership, club activities, meetings, or whatever else you might want. We'd love to have you stop by a club meeting and mingle with the other Hams! We're sure you will be able to match your interests with those of other members. Come help us continue this wonderful hobby into the next generation.
